In the heart of Perth, amidst the timeless charm of Lamont's Bishop's House, a love story reached its pinnacle on the 3rd of February 2024. Isla and Jake, two souls intertwined by destiny, embarked on a journey of matrimony in one of the most iconic locations the city has to offer. Nestled within the embrace of heritage-listed walls and surrounded by lush, verdant gardens, their wedding day unfolded as a testament to their enduring love and the joy shared among their closest family and friends.
BRIDAL PREPIn the heart of Perth CBD, Islas bridal preparations unfolded at the elegant Parmelia Hilton Hotel. Makeup artist Connor Adams and Hair by Anmar worked their magic, adorning Isla with a radiant glow that complemented her white silky long slip, while her bridesmaids Felicia and Cassandra exuded elegance in their black slips. Islas mum Steph brought her loving energy and nurturing touch. Isla had a first look with her bridesmaids, followed by a heartfelt exchange with her dad. Islas bridesmaids speculated about her dress, sharing photos of their predictions, to then being left in awe by the sight of a Jane Hill gown which was a perfect reflection of Islas refined taste. The bouquets carried by Isla and her bridesmaids were crafted by the talented Katie Cooper Floral Design, with Isla opting for a simple yet modern all-white arrangement that worked in perfectly with her elevated and classy wedding theme.
THE CEREMONYThe ceremony was held at Lamonts Bishops House, a heritage-listed gem nestled in the heart of Perth. Positioned on the front lawn of this iconic location, the lush greens and meticulously landscaped gardens, made for an amazing backdrop. Black Bentley chairs formed neat rows, facing towards an altar crafted from white ribbed plinths, adorned in the ethereal floral creations of Katie Cooper. As guests took their seats, they were greeted with custom wedding bottles of water, a thoughtful touch that added to the sense of hospitality and warmth. Isla and Jake exchanged vows and sealed their marriage with a first kiss in front of all those that were near and dear to them and there wasnât a dry eye from the moment Isla walked down the aisle with her dad till their petal showered exit.
Bridal party PORTRAITSBefore heading off for some of their own B&G portraits at Como The Treasury, Jake & Isla ventured up to the top garden at Lamonts Bishops House for some quick portraits with their bridal party. A stunning spot with manicured gardens, a fountain and Lamonts House featuring as a backdrop.
B&G PORTRAITSPortraits of Isla & Jake were captured as we went along in the day, with a few in front of their altar after their ceremony, on our way towards bridal party photos then afterwards. Once we took some shots with their closest friends, we jumped in a car together and ventured across the Como The Treasury for some portraits of just the two of them. This time of the day is such a nice opportunity for them to spend some time together, reflect on the day so far and capture some special and intimate shots with just the two of them .
RECEPTION DETAILS & FIRST LOOKThe reception was a vision of elegance and sophistication, perfectly styled with Islas vision in mind by Em from A Rose Touch. Set against a backdrop of minimalist black and white decor, the reception featured white tablecloths complemented by black napkins and Bentwood chairs. The floral arrangements by Katie Cooper Design added a touch of softness with white blooms in black vases, accented by long tapered candles that added a warm glow to the tables. The stunning two-tiered white cake was adorned with delicate floral decorations, crafted by Perth Cake Collective. As Jake and Isla saw it for the first time on their wedding day, they were overwhelmed with joy at how beautifully everything had come together and how it reflected style.
RECEPTIONAs Jake & Isla entered their reception, they were welcomed with a massive applause from their guests and they wasted no time in cutting their dream wedding cake. They then took their seats to enjoy an amazing feast, prepared impeccably by Lamont's Bishops House, the venue known for its top-tier service and culinary finesse. The reception continued with heartfelt speeches, beginning with a touching tribute from Isla's mum, followed by heartfelt words from the best man and maid of honour. Jakes's Dad then shared some funny memories and love, leading up to a touching speech from the bride and groom themselves. After these heartfelt moments, Jake and Isla slipped away for a brief night portrait session with a fun flash look before having an outfit change and their first dance, which marked the beginning of a joyous celebration with their beloved guests.
PARTYAs the evening progressed into the dancing phase of the day, the dance floor became a massive party. DJ Katie B kept the atmosphere electric with a mix of tunes that had everyone on their feet. Laughter and cheers filled the air as guests danced and mingled, creating unforgettable memories under the twinkling lights. A night filled with laughter, love, and moments that Jake, Isla and their guests would cherish for years to come.
